The first step of our cooperation begin on the year 2001, when Mr. Oerip Santoso from the department of Informatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, came for the first time to the department of Applied Computer Science, Fachhochschule Erfurt, to give a lecture on Software Engineering to the Bachelor Students.
Since then, the cooperation were developed until the first visit of the Dean of our department, Mrs. Gabriele Schade to Indonesia on the year 2004, which resulting the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FH-Erfurt and Swiss German University in Jakarta. On the year 2006, the MoU between the Department of Applied Computer Science FH-Erfurt with School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, ITB would be signed.
As a part of the cooperation agreement, the student exchange for a vocational training program were regularly made on each year, which followed by Indonesian and German students on each Winter Semester. Mr. Sukrisno, the head of the department of Informatics ITB made his first visit to FH Erfurt on November 2005 and gave a lecture on Software Quality on October 2006.
The cooperation between Fachhochschule Erfurt, University of Applied Sciences goes to the next cycle of development. It strengthen the connection of Germany and Asia region, especially Indonesia.
