On going activity within the cooperation
On the way to increase internationalization of academic life, the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt has also played a major role in initiating and supporting intensified development cooperation with some Universities in Indonesia: on the year 2000, the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt signed a partnership agreement with Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia, with MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed by Rectors of both university, other agreements of this kind have followed since then. On the year 2004, the next MoU were signed with the Swiss German University, Jakarta.
On the year 2006, the MOU between department of Applied Computer Science Fachhochschule Erfurt and School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Intitut Teknologi Bandung , had been signed by the dean of both departments. Since then, the cooperation between both universities were developed intensively, and on the 12th – 20th March 2007, the delegation came to ITB Bandung to make the first joint Workshop: International Workshop on Improving Industry and University Research Cooperation.
Many programs would be planned, such as students and lecture exchange program, joint research, and try to release the double degree progam on both departments. The cooperation is growing steadily to an European-Asian dimension.
